Aconta Online
Double-entry bookkeeping online
Bookkeeping as it has always been done, without the usual mistakes
aconta.online
Where the books usually go wrong
- ×An entry that does not balance slips in, and nobody notices until the trial balance.
- ×A recorded figure is changed afterwards, and the trail is lost.
- ×The software renames the books, and the accountant has to translate.
Say what happened. Aconta Online writes both sides.
Say what happened and how much, and Aconta Online writes the entry with its debit and its credit. Your journal book, general ledger, trial balance, income statement and balance sheet stay up to date and in balance, with every accounting term explained one click away.

The books and statements every accountant expects
No invented names, no simplified versions: these are the books any accountant opens, under the names they have always had.
Journal book
Every entry in the order it happened, with its date, its description, and debit and credit side by side.
General ledger
The same lines gathered account by account, with the balance after every movement.
Trial balance
Every account with its sums and its balance: the proof that debits equal credits across the books.
Income statement
What the business earned, what it spent, and the profit or loss the period leaves.
Balance sheet
What the business owns, what it owes and what belongs to its owners, on the date you choose.
Built so you don't make mistakes
It checks every entry for you.
If debits and credits are not equal, the entry is not recorded. An imbalance never reaches your books.
History is never rewritten.
A recorded entry is final: it is never edited or deleted. A mistake is corrected with a reversal, and both stay in the books, with the full trail in view.
Closed periods are protected.
Close a month or a whole year and nobody can record anything in it by accident. The figures you already reviewed stay as they were.
From a blank page to your statements in three steps
- 1
Open the books.
Name the business, choose its currency and the month its fiscal year starts. A complete chart of accounts and the usual journals are already waiting for you.
- 2
Record entries.
A sale, an expense, money the owner puts in, a deposit: pick what happened and say how much. Aconta Online writes both sides of the entry and refuses anything that does not balance. Prefer to write it line by line? You can do that too.
- 3
Read the statements.
Open any book or statement whenever you need it. Each one updates with every entry, they always agree with each other, and the statements download as a spreadsheet.
Every accounting word, one click from its explanation
Debit, credit, posting, reversal, closing. In Aconta Online every accounting word is a link to a plain explanation with a worked example, and each explanation leads to the terms around it. You learn bookkeeping while you keep your own books.
